The Bozeman Watch Company is especially proud to introduce the Gallatin as a part of its “Montana Watch Collection”.  For an American watch company, the classic style of 19th century timepieces was important to consider during the design phase of the development of this timepiece.  Raised dial accents have been incorporated into this elegant yet slim design and the Broken "B" logo is a separate appliqué, placed with care and diligence during the assembly of every individually-numbered Gallatin.  Our automatic watch houses a 27 jewel automatic mechanical Swiss movement that has a second sub dial incorporated into the six o’clock position.

With classic lines drawing influence from the days when an automatic Swiss watch was the epitome of elegance, the Gallatin successfully blends antique Swiss watch accents and contemporary American watch style.

This sleek watch sets itself apart from other BWC designs in that it is smaller and thinner than the average robust BWC timepiece.  By incorporating a Swiss 27 jewel caliber (movement) with sweep second hand sub dial and working the case into very soft lines, the BWC has turned out a timeless and elegant 38 mm piece.

The Bozeman Watch Company is proud to call the Gallatin Valley of southwestern Montana our home.  The Gallatin is named after the Gallatin Valley where Lewis and Clark trekked on their way to discover the headwaters of the Missouri.  The Valley itself was actually named after the United States Secretary of the Treasury, Albert Gallatin, a Swiss immigrant who was appointed by President Jefferson in 1801. Born to an aristocratic Swiss family, Albert Gallatin (1761-1849) emigrated from Switzerland to America in 1780. Elected to the House of Representatives in 1795 and serving until 1801, Gallatin fought constantly with the independent minded first Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton. He was responsible for the law of 1801 requiring an annual report by the Secretary of the Treasury, and he submitted the first one later that year as Secretary.
